Randal "Randy" Barker

Randal "Randy" Barker, age 74, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, January 3, 2022 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.

He was born February 6, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Harman Barker and Mary (Cunningham) Barker.

Randy was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Mowrystown Church of Christ. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service.

Surviving are his loving wife, Carol (Fender) Barker, two daughters, Gail Barker Rios and Courtney Corey, six grandchildren, Anthony, Nathan, Devan, Andrew, Jazmin, and Emma, two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Greyson, brother, Mike (Mary) Barker, sister, Cindy Berger, two sisters-in-law, Susan Burnett and Pam (Stan) Skinner, special friend, Duane Butler and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by step-mother Geneva Barker, first wife, Diane Archibold Barker, son, Jason Barker, sister, Candy Bohannon, and a sister-in-law, Judy Fender.

Funeral Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery, Sugartree Ridge, Ohio where the Highland County Honor Guard will accord full military honors.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday January 11 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
