Gene Taylor, age 49, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, December 28, 2020 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born October 8, 1971 in Little Rock, Arkansas, son of Ray Junior Maples and Deanie Louise Bachor.
Gene was a hunting guide at Cherrybend Pheasant Farm for 6 years and he loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors.
Surviving are his loving wife, Deanna Taylor, whom he married on February 26, 2011 of Wilmington, two sons, Stephen Parr and Eugene Ray Taylor Jr. both of Wilmington, mother, Deanie Bachor of McCrory, AR, father, Ray (Sharlene) Maples of Austin, AR, two step-children, Sean (Emerald) Yerton of Greenbrier, AR and Samantha Yerton of Wilmington, granddaughter, Aria Yerton, brother, Shane (Kim) Taylor of Cabot, AR, two sisters, Lillian (Chris) Matteson of Little Rock, AR and Amanda Canselor of McCrory, AR, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gene was preceded in death by his adoptive father, James Lawrence Taylor.
Memorial Services will be held at Cherrybend Pheasant Farm, 2326 Cherrybend Rd. Wilmington, OH, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 5:00 PM. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we please ask everyone to wear masks and practice social distancing. Services will be held in Arkansas at a later date.
