Betty Smith

Betty JoAnn Smith (nee Hunter), 72, of Wilmington, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 5, 1950. She was the beloved wife of Carliss R. Smith, devoted mother of Rhonda (Mark) Bond, Carliss Jr (Cheri) Smith, Michael (Shaunda) Smith, JoAnna (Aaron) Powell, grandmother of Kathy Smith, Samantha (Brad) Constant, Daniel Smith, Brandon Smith, Rebecca Smith, Mikey Smith, Brett Smith, Renee Smith, Aubrey Powell, Gabrielle Powell and great grandmother of Mia Constant, Azaria Constant, and Shirley Clifton. She is also survived by her brother Arnold (Carol) Hunter, a special niece, Sandy Taylor, a lifetime best friend, Charlise Mattos, many nieces, nephews, and other special family members. She is preceded in death by her parents Laymond and Manerva Hunter, and siblings Arlene King, David Hunter, and Daniel Hunter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Wilmington Assembly of God 609 W. Locust St. Wilmington, OH with Pastor Craig Dawley officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a memorial luncheon served at the church.
