Betty Garrison

Betty Louise Garrison, age 93, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at her daughters home surrounded by her family in Cincinnati.

She was born November 27, 1927 in Columbus, OH, daughter of the late Floyd Edward Rhoads  and Cora Alberta Davis Rhoads Everetts.

She married the love of her life, Bill Garrison on 1/24/1947.  They loved working in the yard, gardening, and spending time with their family.

Betty was a former employee at Murphy's Five and Dime Store in Hillsboro and was a member of the Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene. Betty dedicated her life to the Lord when she was 12.  She enjoyed sharing scripture, and talking about her love for Jesus Christ with her family and good friend Becky Davis.

Surviving is her daughter, Dee Ann (Barry) Rutenschroer, three grandchildren, Zak (Kelli) Rosselott, Taylor (Steven) Swafford and Haley Rutenschroer. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Bre, Lydia, Elsie Rosselott and Nora Rutenschroer as well as two sisters, Evelyn Blair and Pauline Marsh.

In addition to her parents,  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. "Bill" Garrison, step-father, Roy Everetts, sisters, Sharon Wilson, Patty Teeters, and great-grandson, Asher Swafford.

Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, April 5, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Tom Zile officiating.  Interment will follow in the New  Market Baptist Cemetery, New Market, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Monday, April 5, 2021, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
