Wendell L. "Junior" Pointer

Wendell L. "Junior" Pointer, age 77, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at home with family by his side.

He was born September 18, 1947 in Hillsboro, OH, son of the late Wendell Edward Pointer and Carol Beatrice (Martin) Pointer.

Junior drove a gas truck for thirty years and upon retirement began a new career with FRS driving one of the vans. One of Junior's greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy Pointer whom he married June 23, 1967, one son, Shawn Pointer, three grandchildren, Dylan (Caitlynne) Pointer, Haley(Rusty) Clark and Bryce (Kearston) Pointer. Also surviving are 7 great-grandchildren, Jenson Pointer, Crue Pointer, Henry Clark, Chase Clark, River Clark, Brea Pointer, Liam Pointer, great-grandchild on the way, Colt Pointer and an Aunt, Mary Lou (Fred) Adams.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his brother Dannie Pointer.

A memorial service will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kraig Walker officiating.

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home Saturday, 11:00 am until the start of the service at 1:00 pm.
