Walter H. Carruthers

  Walter H. Carruthers, 
age 86, of Wilmington, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2024, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio.  
  He was born November 21, 1937, in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late Walter George & Marcell Nadine (Shattuck) Carruthers.  On May 16, 1959, he married Janice Rae (Singer) Carruthers, who survives.  They were married almost 65 years.
Walt retired as the divisional manager of the AAA Wilmington and Lebanon locations and was a 55 year member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his two daughters-Sharon (Phil) Larrick, Washington Courthouse, OH, Sandi (Bill) Hoffer, Wilmington; two sons- Randy (Dani) Carruthers, Harveysburg,  Rodney (Sara) Carruthers, Wilmington; grandchildren- Shaleigh (Sam) Adams, Wesley (Paige) Larrick, Chris Hoffer, Casey Hoffer, Cory (Samantha) Hoffer, Claire Carruthers, Sadie Carruthers, Ashley Carruthers, Jordan (Zach) Clark, Abbey Carruthers; great-grandchildren- Gavin, Avalee, Grayson, Ria, Easton, Emery, Hadley, Remington.
 
 Prayers will be said 10:40 AM, Friday, April 26, at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with the Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Rev. Anthony Brausch officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.
 Friends will be received from  4-7 PM, Thursday, April 25, at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington.
