Tommie Sonja Clark

Tommie Sonja Clark, age 76, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, in Montgomery, Ohio. She was born on November 16, 1949 in Mt. Ash, Kentucky.

Tommie will be remembered as hardworking, one of a kind, spunky, and strong-willed. She was very close with God and attended Vineyard Cincinnati Church in Springdale. Above all, she loved her family with everything she had, and that deep devotion shaped the way she lived her life and cared for those around her. She was also proud of her Native American heritage, which remained an important part of who she was.

She retired from Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, a milestone that reflected her steady work ethic and strength. Outside of work, Tommie enjoyed gardening and traveling. After meeting her husband, she embraced an adventurous life, and together they shared many travels. Her favorite place to visit was Cancun, Mexico.

One of Tommie’s most cherished stories was how she met her husband. She met him through an ad in the local newspaper and after 9 months of dating they married on May 20, 1995. The two liked to joke that they had really met at a newsstand and got engaged in the parking lot. That sense of humor and spark stayed with her and became part of the story her family loved to tell.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David Clark; her daughters and stepchildren, Dayna Brown, Kelly (Matt) Ellis, Jamie (Rodney) Loggins, Christina Yocum, Crystal (Greg) Willis, Christopher (Lisa) Clark; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and her brother, Delbert (Julie) Robinson. Tommie’s love for her family was wholehearted and unwavering, and her presence will remain deeply treasured by those who knew her best.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Edna Robinson; her sister, Ruth; her brothers, Bob, James, Gary, Walter, and Larry; and her beloved chihuahua, Punta.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 pm, all at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
