Shirley Newkirk

Shirley Joye  Newkirk,
Age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Late Saturday Night, November 24, 2018 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington.
She was born May 15, 1931 in Fairview, Ohio, daughter of the late Archie Ernest & Pearl E. (Taylor) Hart.  On May 20, 1951 in Fairview, Ohio, she married Paul G. Newkirk, who survives.
Shirley had worked at the Downtown Wilmington Hallmark Store for over 20 years.  She was a member of Wilmington Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are her sons- Mark (Jane) Newkirk of Wilmington, OH and Mike (Deb) Newkirk of Miamisburg, OH; grandchildren- Beth (Michael) Jahoda, Brad Newkirk; step-granddaughter- Rochelle Flory; and  great-grandchildren- Ellen & David.
In addition to her parents, Joye was preceded in death by Ten brothers & sisters.
Private Family Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 27, 2018  at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Truesdell Street, Wilmington with  Pastor Bruce Stauffer officiating.  Please enter the Top of the Hill West Gate on Truesdell Street. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
