Sherry Thomson

  Alicejean "Sherry" Thomson, 

Age 102, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away, late Wednesday night, February 21, 2024 at the Cape May Retirement Community in Wilmington.

 She was born October 17, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of  the late William Burt & Thelma Ruth (Poling) Shreve.  

 Sherry acquired her bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Michigan,  she was a member of  the AAUW, the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, a long time member of the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, and numerous book clubs where ever she lived.

 Surviving are son, Rod (Barbara) Thomson of Middletown, OH, son, Bruce Thomson of Xenia, OH, daughter, Ruth Chesnut of Wilmington, OH, grandson, Ryan (Susie) Chesnut of Columbus, OH, granddaughter, Caitlin (Tony) Falk of Columbus, OH, grandson, Kyle (Katie) Chesnut of Columbus, OH, grandson, Andrew (Aurora) Thomson, Vandalia, OH; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Roderick Thomson, son-in-law- Dr. David Chesnut and brother- Bil Shreve..

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, at the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington,  840 Timber Glen Dr, Wilmington, OH 45177  with Elder Sarah Maus officiating.  Interment will be at the family's convenience in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio.

  Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services at the church on Saturday, March 9.  The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
