Ronna V. Gardner

Ronna V. Gardner, age 89, formerly of Madeira, Ohio, passed away on February 6, 2024, at Otterbein SeniorLife Lebanon. On May 17, 1934 in Haydenville, Ohio, she was born to the late Charles Henderson & Phyllis May (Swaim) Vollmer.  On May 29, 1955 in Haydenville, Ohio, she married Robert Gene Gardner, who is deceased.   Ronna worked as a music teacher in Texas and a learning disabilities teacher in Madeira, Ohio.  She was an Ohio University Graduate.  Ronna was a member of the Hyde Park Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  Surviving family members are her daughter – Diane (Kevin) Boys, Wilmington, Ohio; 4 sons – Robert (Katherine) Gardner, Mansfield, Ohio, Thomas (Cynthia) Gardner, Milford, Ohio, Charles (Robin) Gardner, Columbus, Ohio, and Steven (Lisa) Gardner, Charlotte, NC;  17 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Karen McCarthy, Ft. Myers, FL and Rhea (John) Mathias, Columbus, OH; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Ronna was preceded in death by her husband – Robert Gene Gardner, and her brother – Richard Vollmer, sister-in-law Miko Vollmer, and 2 brothers-in-law – Jerry Higgins and Jimmy McCarthy.

The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio, has been entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
