Richard “Dick” Fisher
Richard “Dick” Fisher of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home.
A proud member of the Ohio National Guard, he served his country as a reservist for 30 years, holding the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired in 2002, after a civilian career at the Springfield Armory, where he was valued for his work ethic and commitment.
Dick had a deep love for fishing, finding peace and joy in the quiet moments by the water with a pole in hand. Known for his skill with tools and engines, he was a master problem-solver who enjoyed building and tinkering with cars and trucks. He brought this passion to life through his own mechanics garage and car dealership, where he helped countless friends and neighbors get back on the road.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Fisher; two sisters, Betty Lou O’Dell and Linda Fisher; and a brother, Jerry Fisher. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Joyce N. Fisher; his daughter, Jennifer (Sonia) Atienzo-Fisher; his son, Timothy (Christine) Fisher; his grandson, Isaiah; two granddaughters, Hanna and Mary; his sister, Jessie Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dick will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work and love for family lives on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
