Ralph Kilgore

Ralph Philip "R. Phil" Kilgore, age 89, of Fincastle, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon, June 8, 2018 at the Drake Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born June 24, 1928 in Pelham, TN, son of the late Roy Francis and Mary Belle Rodgers Kilgore.

Ralph retired from the Gray Company in 1995 after 43 years of service and was a pastor for 35 years. He was a member of the West Fork Baptist Church. Ralph enjoyed playing his guitar and writing songs. He would play at local events and on the radio. Many would say that he was a great entertainer.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Kilgore, who he married on October 9, 1998, daughter, Mary (Tom) Moreland of Enola, PA, son, Larry P. Kilgore of FL, four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, four step-children, ten step-grandchildren, four-step-great-grandchildren, sister, Flora Lee (Doug) Carpenter of Cleeves, OH, special nephew, Ronnie Kilgore, special niece, Joyce Jordan, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Elvira Walker Kilgore, four brothers, Johhny, Ed, Larry, and Roy Kilgore.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, Monday, June 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kenny Wells officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sardinia Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
