Penny Eva Thompson

Penny Eva Thompson, age 84, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 25, 1942 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Elizabeth and Herman Schaeffer.

In addition to her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her loving husband, David L. Thompson; her daughter, Lori Murray; her sister, Judy Frazier and her brother, John Schaeffer.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Bambi Beachy; her son, David L Thompson Jr.; her brother, Herman Schaeffer; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In her free time, Penny enjoyed watching her favorite TV show, Big Bang Theory; listening to the calming windchimes while bird watching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held, Monday, October 19, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services immediately following, all at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust Street Wilmington, OH 45177.

Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
