Pauline "Polly" Roberts

Pauline "Polly"  Roberts, daughter of the late Harley and Mary (Elmore) Satterfield, was born October 3, 1921 in Seaman, Ohio, and departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2018 at the Monarch Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Seaman at the age of 96.

On June 15, 1940 she was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Roberts of Mowrystown, who preceded her in death on December 1, 1982.

To this union twin daughters were born on January 10, 1944.  Teresa Ann Gillespie of the Mowrystown Community, and Loretta Kay, who passed away January 11, 1944.

She also leaves to mourn two grandchildren, Mark (Becky) Gillespie of Lake Waynoka and Melanie (Andre') Gillespie of The Netherlands, four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Alexander, Allison,  & Andrew, a son-in-law, Loran Gillespie, niece, Sue Lahner, and a nephew, Philip Satterfield and family.

In addition to her parents and daughter, Polly was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Satterfield, and two sisters-in-law, Betty Satterfield adn Catherine Linville.

At an early age Pauline accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined the Methodist Church of Seaman, Ohio. After marriage she transferred to the United Methodist Church of Mowrystown, Ohio. She was also a member of the Hillsboro Senior Center. Polly will be sadly missed by family, friends, and a host of piano students, as she taught piano for over 40 years and played the organ and piano at the church for over 60 years.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Maint St. Mowrystown, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jaime Wirth officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
