Paul Vaughn

Paul Vaughn, age 83, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

He was born May 11, 1942 in Maysville, KY, son of the late Lester Graham Vaughn and Flora Jane Johnson Vaughn.

He was a member of Wilmington Church of Christ; veteran of the U.S. Navy; graduate of Chillicothe High School Class of 1960; retired from Airborne Express, and was a motorcycle and automotive enthusiast. Paul enjoyed the outdoors and going of traditional family hikes.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Vaughn whom he married June 8, 1963, four children, son, Robert (Amy) Vaughn, daughter, Janet (Jason) Walt, daughter, Barbara (Rob) Caldwell, son, Matthew (Jennifer) Vaughn, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Randy (Connie) Vaughn, brother, Danny (Jill) Vaughn, sister, Brenda (Rick) Godlove, sister-in-law, Virginia Vaughn and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Vaughn, nephew, Doug Vaughn and a granddaughter, Kristina Walt.

A memorial service will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, September 29, 2025 at 12:00 pm with Rick Godlove and Dale McCamish officiating.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home on Monday 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. The Wilmington American Legion Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the funeral home.
