Pamela Ann Sweeney,
Age 57, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Friday Afternooon, June 24, 2011 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born November 26, 1953 in Detroit, MI, daughter of Richard R. Smith, of Pensacola, FL and the late Mary Certier. She married on September 21, 1974 in Hillsboro, Ohio to William Dennis Sweeney, who survives.
Pam was an adamant volunteer with the Clinton County Humane Society. She spent endless time in helping and protecting lost and homeless animals. After working for 2 animal clinics for nearly 5 years, Pam started a web site to save lost or abandon animals. Pam loved all of God's creatures and found the rescue portion of her work most rewarding along with a fullness of life in doing for all others.
In addition to her father and husband, other surviving family members are her 3 Sons- Doug Sweeney of Houston, TX, Jason Sweeney of Wilmington, OH, & Josh Sweeney of Mason, OH; 5 beautiful Granddaughters- Laela, Lillian, London, Lexi-Anne, & Lovelyne-May; Sister- Susan (Greg) Yates of Dayton, OH; Brother- Phil Smith of Dayton, OH; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her mother, Pam was preceded in death by her Sister- Nancy Smith.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Rev. Elizabeth J. Looney officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, OH.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
