Mildred J. Wainscott, age 85, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at home.
She was born June 18, 1940 near Arnheim, OH, daughter of the late Roy Sullivan and Clara Faul Sullivan.
Mildred was an excellent baker, having won several awards at the Tobacco Festival and the Brown County Fair.
Surviving are son, Douglas (Krystal) Wainscott of Georgetown, daughter, Charlene Forgione of Willoughby, daughter, Joyce (Philip) Wainscott-King of Hillsboro, 3 Grandchildren, Kyle (Janna) Wainscott of Georgetown, Brandon King of Hillsboro, Wyatt (Chloe) King of Pomeroy; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Spencer Wainscott of Georgetown, Pierce Wainscott of Georgetown, McKenna Ridley Alexandria King of Pomeroy, Louis Sterling Bennet King of Pomeroy, 1 sister, Gladys Creighton of Owensville and 1 brother, Lowell (Sharon) Sullivan of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Wainscott, who died January 9, 2011, 2 sisters, Evelyn Duffy, Jean Rockey and a brother, Richard Sullivan.
Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Confidence Cemetery, Georgetown, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Edgington Funeral Home Wednesday, June 25, 2025 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
