Mihai Cioca,
age 63, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning, April 4, 2026 at the Blanchester Care Center in Blanchester.
He was born March 24, 1963 in Victoria, Romania, spending his childhood in Sebesul-de-Sus, Romania, coming to America in his late teen years. He is the son of the late John & & Iustina (Ritivoi) Cioca.
Mihai had worked as a truck driver for R-L Carriers and other trucking companies. His faith was based on the Romania Orthodox Church.
Surviving are his daughter- Sarah Cioca, Hamersville, OH; son- Joshua (Raven) Cioca, of KY; mother of his children- Kathy Cioca of Wilmington; granchildren- Savannah Shepherd & Maverick Cioca; siblings-Maria (George) Murarescu, John Cioca, Anna (Pete) Smith, Iustina (Craig) Davidson; step-siblings- Mihai (Paraschiva) Maerean, & ElenaTofan.
In addition to his parents, Mihai was preceded in death by his step-mother- Elena (Turcu) Cioca, mother-in-law- Hazel Hoffer; sister-in-law- Marianna Cioca, & brother-in-law- Marius Tofan.
Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Deacon Robert Baker, of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
