Michael Armstrong

Michael Eugene Armstrong, age 65, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away suddenly, Monday, June 18, 2018 at home.

He was born September 9, 1952 in Danville, IL, son of the late James Leroy and Myra Jane Johnson Armstrong.

Mike was a friendly and soft spoken person, who enjoyed nature. He was an United States Army Veteran, having served in Frankfort, Germany. Mike received his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and retired form the Chillicothe VA Medical Center after 27 years of service. He was also a former member of the Chillicothe Lions Club.

Surviving are his wife, Jana Aldridge Armstrong, whom he married on December 24, 1986, a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Armstrong of Zionsville, IN, sisters-in-law, Sharon Bales of Leesburg and Katherine (Mitch) Mitchell of Seaman, nieces & nephews-, Chrissy Armstrong of Zionsville, Jenny (Charlie) Gonzalez of Key West, FL,  Sarah Villegas of Chicago, IL, Chris (Ashley) Bales, Winchester, OH, John (Dana) Bales, Wilmington, Mindy (Mike) Tissot, Wilmington, Mandy (Chris) Cox, Hillsboro, Mona (Dale) Eversole, Lynchburg; many great-nieces, and great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew and many friends.  He will be sadly missed by his beloved dog, Bridgette.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Villegas, a sister-in-law, Kaye Aldridge, and brother-in-law-Wilson Villegas.

Graveside Services will be held at Samantha Methodist Cemetery on Saturday, June 23, 2018 immediately following the visitation where the Highland County Honor Guard will accord full military honors with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating..

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Ohio on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
