Marian R. Eakins, age 91, of Blanchester, OH, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash.
She was born August 24, 1919 in Middletown, OH, daughter of the late Roman A Homan and Regina Cecilia Wabler Homan .
She was a member of the Community Helper's Club, Harveysburg, Ohio, and retired from the Irwin-Auger Bit Company and had worked at NCR for several years.
Surviving are son, Ronald (Eva) Eakins of Jemison, AL, daughter, Margaret (Kenneth) Gaines of Blanchester, OH, one granddaughter, Amanda (Bob) Sharp, of Monte Vallo, Al, fourGreat-Grandchildren, Benjamin, Cohen, Winston, and Steven. Also surviving is a Brother, Elwood (Liz) Homan of Dayton, OH, one sister, Edith Heiser of Dayton, OH and 3 sisters-in-law, Opal Homan, Dayton, Jean Cavanaugh, and Helen Eakins, both of Waynesville.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Herman Eakins, who died in 1968, one brother, and two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Wilmington, Ohio , with Rev. James M. Wedig officiating. Interment will follow in the Miami-Corwin Cemetery .
Friends will be received 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
Contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Columbkille .
