Linda Smart

Linda L. Smart,
Age  76, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning February 16, 2022 at home after an extended illness.
She was born  May 6, 1945, in Coshocton, Ohio, daughter of  the late Harold Glen & Dorothy Lucille (Powell) Hixson SR.
Linda retired as a Payroll Specialist for the Supervalue Grocery Store Distribution Center in Xenia after over 16 years of service.  A 1963 Ridgewood High School Graduate in West Lafayette, Ohio, she had attended the New Vienna Community Church. She was an avid rummy and game  player, who enjoyed winning.  She made numerous baby quilts for her beloved grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her step-sons- Ron Smart, of Wilmington & Garry (Denise) Smart of Dayton, OH;  step-daughter- Donna (Tom) Wall of Wilmington; brothers- Harold (Erica) Hixson JR, of Fairborn, OH & John (Carolyn) Hixson of Delaware, OH, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her beloved dog and companion- Trixie.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband- Donald "Bill" Russell Smart.

Funeral Services will be held  11:00 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2022  at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington,  with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating.  Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.
Friends will be received from  10:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday morning at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
