If you ever met Kathy Ruble, you probably left with a smile - maybe even a laugh or a story that stuck with you. Kathy had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and right at home.

Born in Adams County, Ohio, to Paul and Rosie (Snodgrass) Kirker, Kathy was a 1969 graduate of Winchester High School. She married the love of her life, Jim Ruble, on March 29, 1970, and together they built a life full of laughter, hard work, and adventure on their farm in Mowrystown. They were inseparable - whether tending to the farm, heading out for one of their casino adventures, or working side by side in the office. If you saw one, you could bet the other wasn’t far behind.

Kathy owned and operated her H&R Block franchise for more than 40 years, serving her community with honesty and care. She was sharp, dependable, and always ready with a friendly smile and good conversation.

Outside of work, Kathy loved her dogs - and over the years, she had quite the pack! But nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her family. From everyday visits to big family gatherings, Kathy was the heart of it all. She loved watching her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow.

She was a faithful member of the Mowrystown Church of Christ and lived her life with quiet generosity, helping others whenever she could.

Kathy is survived by her daughters Ja (Dan) Thoms of Canton, Michigan, and Jill (Carter) Stolz of Mowrystown, Ohio; six grandchildren - Brice (Jessi) Burrier, Megan (Levi) Barr, Katelynn (Ronnie) Whitenack, C.J. (Taylor) Stolz, Sarah Thoms, and Hannah Thoms; eight great-grandchildren, including Colton Swafford, who held a special place in her heart; and her brother Rodger Kirker of Peebles, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her parents, her brother Danny Kirker and her mother-in-law, Margaret Ruble.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mowrystown Church of Christ, 28 W. Main St. Mowrystown, Ohio with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the church on Friday, November 7th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
