John Ervin

John Mark Ervin, age 60, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, February 17, 2022 at his home.

He was born March 17, 1961 in Hillsboro, Ohio, son of William Edward Sattler and Geneva May Davis Sattler .

Surviving are his four children, Amanda (Ryan) Ervin-Helton of Buford, Joseph Ervin of Buford, Heather (Wayne) Cox of Lynchburg, and Jessica (Kyle) Brown of Wilmington, girlfriend, Patricia Keplinger of Hillsboro, six grandchildren, Tony Mullen, Jackson Helton, Airrean Helton, Chloe Cox, Lucas Brown, and Aubree Brown, nine siblings, Judy Sattler, Phillisha Sattler, Jean Ervin, Roger Sattler, Mike Sattler, Sharon Sattler, Nancy Jennings, Larry Wical, and Clarissa Wical, mothers of his children, Karen Ervin and Peggy Hottinger, and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geneva Sattler and his foster parents, who raised him, Charles and Kathleen Ervin..

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Sardinia American Legion Post 1131, 106 College Ave, Sardinia, OH 45171.

Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro is assisting the family.
