James C "Red" Spurgeon,
Age 49, of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away after a struggle with cancer on Monday afternoon, December 5, 2011at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, OH.
He was born March 3, 1962 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Kenneth & Patricia (Hunt) Spurgeon.
James worked as a Fork Lift Operator for both R and L Carriers and the Randall Corp.
He was a member of the Wilmington Eagles FOE #1224.
Surviving are his life partner- Denise Mounce and her parents- Wayvle & Jerry Jarrell; son-Brad Spurgeon, at Home; daughter- Destiny Sanderson, Wilmington; 3 brothers- Larry Spurgeon, of AZ, Nathan Spurgeon, Wilmington, & Jerry (Lisa) Spurgeon, New Vienna; and Good Friends- Brian Napier & Dave Brown, both of Clarksville.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his 2 sons- James Cairo Spurgeon Jr and Jeremy Lee Spurgeon; & brother- Richard Spurgeon.
Funeral Services will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Larry Spellman officiating.
Friends will be received frm 3 - 6 PM Friday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
