Age 55, of Martinsville, OH, passed away as the result of a logging accident on Thursday, August 15, 2013 in Martinsville, Ohio.
He was born April 22, 1958 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of James Gilbert & Betty (Dalton) Shepherd Sr., who survive in Martinsville. He married Jane Wesley Shepherd, who passed away November 28, 2012.
Jimmy worked as a logger for the Shepherd Logging Company.
In addition to his parents, other surviving family members are his children- Jamie (Stephanie) Shepherd, Greenfield, Jessica Shepherd, Westboro, Stacie (Eric) Meiser, Blanchester, Howie (Robin) Grosnickle, Owensville, Kentucky, Kimberly Grosnickle, Milford; several grandchildren; 2 sisters- Jackie Stone, Carrabelle, FL, Janet Smith, New Vienna, Ohio; & brother- Jeff Shepherd, Martinsville.
In addition to his wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by his daughter- Janice Mae Shepherd; 2 uncles- Larry & Davey Shepherd and an aunt- Faye Ashley.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 2-5 PM, Sunday, August 18 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
