Irene J. Ferrin, age 77, of Cambridge, Ohio formerly of Hillsboro, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 30, 1946 in Eastland, West Virginia, daughter of the late Woodrow Arden and Gladys Jane Crabtree Queen. On January 16, 1981 she was united into marriage to Thomas Ferrin, who survives.
Irene was a member of Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church. She loved crafting, gardening, genealogy, and making special cards for the family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, Tom Ferrin; 2 children: Shannon L. (Ronald) Dornbusch of Hillsboro and Thomas Ferrin of Pensacola, FL; daughter-in-law, Melissa Ferrin; 7 grandchildren: Josh (Kari) Ferrin, Cori Dornbusch, Charli Sheree Dornbusch (Jonathen Bussell), Jerrod Dornbusch, Brittany Ferrin, Joey (Shania) Dornbusch, and Bruce Ferrin; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Josie (Doug) Nunn; and 2 brothers: Earl (Patty) Queen and Kirk Queen.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by 3 sons: Robbie Allen Ferrin, Randolph Leigh Ferrin, and Kenneth Ferrin; and a brother, Otis Queen.
Funeral Services will be held at Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church, 6360 US-50, Hillsboro, OH 45133, Tuesday April 16th, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jim Blankenship officiating.
Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 until the time of the services.
