Harland K. Dye "Jim",
Age78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family Monday night, September 10, 2012 at his home after a long battle with melanoma cancer.
He was born May 21, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Dr. Harland F Dye and Mary K Dye, of Wilmington. Jim married Gail Coe Dye, who passed away June 8, 2010. They were married for 26 years.
Jim retired as the owner-manager of Fairmeade Farm in the Wilmington Area, a Real Estate Developer in the Wilmington Area and a Dairy Farmer in Upstate New York.
He was a member of the River City Winnies RV Club. He spent many years boating, flying, and RVing with his wife.
Surviving are his 2 sons- Harland "Tim" (Rhonda) Dye of Merritt Island, FL, & Dr. Michael (Kathy) Dye of Wilmington, OH; 3 daughters- Cynthia (John) Wimmers of Fairfield, OH, Susan (David) Adams of Middletown, OH, Lori Blackburn of Ripley, OH; brother- Gerald (Lisa) Dye of Blue Ash, OH; 7 grandchildren; and 1 nephew 1 niece and special friend- Shirley Katter, of Wilmington.
Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Special thank you to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
