Gladys J. Cody

Gladys J. Cody, age 91, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, OH.

She was born January 5, 1935 in Kingman, Ohio, daughter of the late John Edgar Fisher and Maude Lucille Cooper Fisher.

Gladys was a homemaker while her children were young and later she managed the kitchen at Wilmington College for 19 years. She then worked as the kitchen manager at Camp Joy in Clarksville for 10 years. She was a member of Wilmington Presbyterian Church for many years.

Surviving are son, Steve Cody, daughter, Susan (Jim) Schutte, daughter, Jenny (Meredith) Englehart, daughter, Teresa Shelley and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Cody, daughter, Shirley June Cody Patterson and daughter-in-law, Lynn Wiget Cody.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, September 18, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home Friday, September 18, 2026 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
