George Strong

George M. Strong,
Age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly early Friday morning,  July 8, 2022 at home.
He was born October 26, 1934 in Greenville, KY, son of the late George W & Mable Clara (Jenkins) Strong.  On December 31, 1955, he married Juanita Langdon Strong, who passed on January 6, 2018.  They were married for 62 years.
A US Army veteran, George started Strong's Trucking, which he operated until his retirement.  He was a member of the Sligo Baptist Church and The Wilmington Savings Bank Senior Citizens Center.

Surviving are his daughters- Sheila Spear,  Pamela J Strong, Karen (Darrell) Marshall; granddaughters- Kortni (KC) Cozzens & Kylie (Daniel) Marshall; sister- Shirley A. Strong; most precious great-grandson- Leo Carter Cozzens and great-granddaughter on the way- Daisy.
In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by his sisters- Hannah "Thelma" Whitford & Wilma Jean Morath; son-in-law- Poe Spear; and several sisters-in-law & brothers in-law.
Funeral services will be held  1:00 PM., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Sligo Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Bro officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, where the Wilmington American Legion Honor Squad will accord full military honors.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until 1 PM, Wednesday, July 13 at the church..
