Gary G Hovermale

Gary  Hovermale, 
68, of Clarksville, Ohio passed away Wednesday Afternoon,  August 16, 2023 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.  
He was born September 12, 1954  in Wilmington, son of  the late Billy Francis & Omalee (Pfister) Hovermale.  On April 14, 1991 in Richmond, VA, he married Norma L. (Mullen) Hovermale, who survives.
A 1972 Clinton-Massie High School Graduate, Gary was a US Army Vietnam War Era Veteran, serving as a Green Beret in West Germany.  He had worked for over 10 years as a project manager at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.  He was a member of the Clarksville Methodist Church and the Clarksville Masonic Lodge.  He was a wine maker, a cigar connoisseur, and an avid outsdoorsman- enjoying hunting, fishing, boating and skiing in Aspen.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are 2 grandchildren; a sister- Amber (James) Larsen, of IL; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son- Jason Hovermale & daughter- Amy Northern.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 21 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Debbie Kaylor  officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 will accord full military honors.
 Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
