Elmer Gordon "Skipper" Jacobs

Elmer "Skipper" Jacobs, age 73, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Thursday evening April 30, 2026 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.

He was born June 3, 1952 in Xenia, Ohio, son of the late Adam and Minnie (Niel) Jacobs.

Skip was a member of Hillsboro Eagles Aerie 1161 and Hillsboro Amvets Post 61. He was a fun and loving person, who loved to help people. He enjoyed to play music, play his spoons, and campfires with family and friends.

Surviving are 5 siblings: Leonard Jacobs, Rickie Jacobs, Sue Hall, Vickey Sawyer, and Pauline McComas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and 2 sons, Daniel Jacobs and Stephen Jacobs.

In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Trisdale and a brother, Jimmy Jacobs.

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
