Donald R. "Butch" Davis, age 77, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Kindred Hospital in Dayton, OH.
He was born October 25, 1944 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late Stanley Arthur Davis and Avonelle Wynola Walls Davis.
Butch was a graduate of Martinsville High School and the University of Cincinnati. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Warren County Career Center as a Machine Trades Instructor. Prior to teaching he was a tool and die maker. Butch was also a member of the Wilmington Elks Lodge.
Surviving are wife, Joan Davis of Wilmington, son, Donnie (Susan) Davis of Wilmington, daughter, Allyson (Bart) Couch of Carlisle, step-daughter, Melissa (Karen) Whittenburg of Wilmington, step-son, Brad (Jennifer) Salisbury of Stanton, KY, 11 Grandchildren, Emily (Luke) Brittan, Zachary Davis, Joshua (Jordan) Couch, Jason (Hannah) Couch, Allen (Tyler) Couch, Alex Couch, Jack Whittenburg, Gabby Whittenburg, Brady Salisbury, Lauren Salisbury and Jillian Hummelgard. Also surviving are 2 Great-Grandchildren, Landon Curtis Couch and Lillian Rochelle Couch, Brother, Ron (Marilyn) Davis, sister, Dolly (Bob) Black and several nieces & nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Monday, January 10, 2022 with the Wilmington American Legion Honor Guard presenting military honors.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Sunday, January 9, 2022, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
