Donald Eugene Wiget,

Age 94, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 3, 2026 at home.

He was born April 21, 1931 in Blue Ash, Ohio, son of the late Fred Winfred & Lovisa Pearl (Firman) Wiget. On March 3, 1952 in Wilmington, he married Dolores Ann (Doyle) Wiget, who passed on December 13, 2017.

A US Army Korean War Veteran, Don and Dolores spent many winters over 30 years in Florida, where he was an avid tennis player. He loved hunting and was a member of the Archery Club of Wilmington in the 1960's and 1970's. Don was a finish carpenter by trade and had worked at DESC in Kettering, Ohio as a civil engineer.

Surviving are son- Donald A. (VoHammie) Wiget of Xenia, OH; daughter- Deborah A. (Richard) Rose of Clarksville, OH; grandchildren- Eric (Miranda) Wiget, Nicholas (Kelsey) Wiget, Jennifer (Tom) Henderson, & Steve Rose; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters- Doris Cochran, & Judy Hartley; and brothers-Norman Wiget, & Larry Wiget.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by his Baby Wiget, sister-Thelma Jean Pierson; & brothers- Raymond Wiget, Fred Wiget, Jr., C. Wayne Wiget & George Wiget.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2026 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Squad will accord military honors.

Friends will be received on Friday March 13 at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the time of services.
