Dianna Gaskins, age 71, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon May 3, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 21, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia, daughter of the late Denvil William and Virginia Hicks.
On July 3, 1973 she married her high school sweetheart, Fred Gaskins. She worked at Jo Ann's Fabrics for 15 years, having traveled to different stores all up and down the West Coast. Her and her sister, Carolyn worked several years at the Renaissance Festival. Dianna was an amazing seamstress and loved crocheting. She loved cats dearly, having taken in quite a few strays. She never met a stranger and could talk hours to anyone.
Surviving are husband of 50 years, Fred Gaskins; two daughters: Aislinn Ainsworth (Stephen Lilly) of Newport, TN and Heather (Larry Jr.) Gaskins-Jacobs of Wilmington, OH; grandson, Jacob Douglas; sister, Carolyn Fyffe; two nephews: Bill and Brian Fyffe; and niece, Tiffany Fyffe.
In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Richardson.
Dianna's wishes were to be cremated and no services to be held.
Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
