Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend died unexpectedly on August 19, 2023, at the age of 27. 

Surviving are his parents, Carliss Jr. and Cheri Smith of Wilmington, brother, Brandon Smith, sister, Rebecca Smith, niece, Shirley Clifton, paternal grandfather, Carliss Ray Smith Sr. of Wilmington, maternal grandparents, Tom and Ruth Armstrong of Missouri, aunts and uncles, Rhonda (Mark) Bond, JoAnna (Aaron) Powell, Michael (Shaunda) Smith, Kim Armstrong Speaight, Susan (Clinton) Smalley, Shane (Lori) Armstrong, and Chad (Shanda) Armstrong, and many cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Betty JoAnn Smith.

Daniel was born on February 10, 1996, in Wilmington Ohio where he grew up and spent his time with family and friends. He enjoyed working on cars with his dad and grandpa who were his best friends and spoiling his niece. Daniel had a very outgoing personality and was always there for a good laugh at your expense or his. No matter the circumstances, if anyone needed anything he would be there without hesitation. We want everyone to remember the good that Daniel brought to this world through his thoughtfulness, his love for life and jokester nature.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wilmington assembly of God, 609 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Oh. On August 31^st, 2023 at 4:30pm. Following the service, the church will be providing a dinner for all friends and family. 

Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family. 

Contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
