Custer C. Renchen, age 92, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 22, 2021 at Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born August 21, 1929 in Lewis County, Kentucky, son of the late Dewey Renchen and Lena Inez Hayes Renchen.
Custer was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his four children, Connie (Jim) Adams, Jeffrey (Lisa) Renchen, Samantha (Gary) Wilson, and Mark Renchen, seven grandchildren, Mike Hart, Jason Adams, Josh Renchen, Jacob Renchen, Ryan Renchen, Susan Wilson, and Austin Renchen, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Esther Singleton.
In addition to his parents, Custer was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Marie Renchen, who passed away on November 15, 2015, son, Ronnie Renchen, and nine brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro with Pastor Lloyd Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery, Danville where the Highland County Honor Guard will accord full military honors.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services.
