Betty J. Dean

Betty J. Dean, age 85, of Port William, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born April 29, 1941 in Circleville, OH, daughter of the late Carson and Helen (Karnshner) Huffman.

Betty was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington and was a former 4-H and Brownie leader. She had worker several years at Hartley Oil Company in their office and at the WilmingtonWalmart. Betty was a devoted farm wife working along side her husband Ron on the family farm.

Surviving are 4 children, Teresa Gregg, Rhonda Noble, Bruce (Jeana) Dean and Brenda (Larry) Dean-Hall. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Chrissy, Torie, Cassie, Taylor, Devon, Jaiden, Jessica, Kaleigh, Brock, Zachary, Tori, Amanda, Casey, Jake, Ellie and Michael; 31 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, former Foreign exchange student, Carlos E Rojas, sister, Ruth Ann Fox, brother, Jack (Sue) Huffman and special lifelong friend, Mary Ann Overslake.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husnad, Ronald L. Dean, brothers, Paul Huffman, Don Huffman, infant brother, Bobby Huffman, and a sister Marabelle Hollis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Monday, June 29, 2026 at 10:30 am with Rev. Tom Mannebach officiating. A graveside service will be held later at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home Sunday, June 28, 2026, 6:00 pm 8:00 pm.
