Karl H. Dunlap, age 70, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Sunday,  June 30, 2013 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.  

He was born October 5, 1942 in Clinton County, OH, son of the late F. Willard Dunlap  and Mattie Batson Dunlap.

He was active with the Boy Scouts, involved with 4-H, was a member of the Wilmington Elks Lodge, Wilmington Masonic Lodge #52, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, and was very active with the OHMR (Ohio Military Reserve).  Karl was a U. S. Army veteran, member of the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 where he was a member of the Memorial Squad; graduated from Wilmington High School Class of 1960, attended Wilmington College, received his bachelors degree from Franklin University, and his masters degree from Centeral Michigan University. Karl farmed with his brother and enjoyed playing golf, traveling, eating out, and reading.

Surviving is his wife, Helen  Dunlap of Wilmington, OH, whom he married July 19, 1969, son, Brett (Dawn) Dunlap of Belpre, OH, daughter, Summer (fiancee Kenneth Foote) Buckles of Gainesville, FL, granddaughter, Addison Rae Dunlap, brother, Paul (Kaaren) Dunlap of Kettering, OH, sister-in-law, Teresa Hudson, Wilmington,  several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to his parents,  Karl was preceded in death by an infant sister, Frances Marie Dunlap.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will conduct full military honors.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Tuesday, July 02, 2013 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Wilmington Masonic Lodge #52 F&AM will conduct masonic services at 8:00 p.m.
